Welcome to Walking In the Living Word Ministries
Women's Ministry Activities
Our Core Values give heart to the vision of our church / ministry. The vision statement tells who we are and the core values reveal and reflect the values of Jesus. The Great Commandment and the Great Commission reveal the purposes of the church / ministry.
The Core Values for Walking In the Living Word Ministry are:
THE CHURCH / MINISTRY GIVING UPWARD, INWARD AND OUTWARD: We are here to exalt God, to minister to and build up one another and as a result of that, we are to reach out to the world. In other words, the church / ministry is here for three main reasons: giving upward, giving inward, and giving outward.
Give Up: We are here to worship God. The Bible teaches that we are put on this earth primarily to know and walk with the God who made us and to bring glory to His name. Give In: We are here to equip God's people to do His work. Paul said his own goal was not merely to evangelize, but to 'present every man perfect in Christ Jesus' (Colossians 1:28). Give Out: We are here for the evangelization of the world. Jesus commanded us to 'Go; therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you' (Matthew 28:19-20). Clearly, it's our commission.
To Be Like Jesus By Reflecting His Values: Live like Jesus lived. Teaching and preaching through the life of Jesus is a must in the church. Love like Jesus loved. To love like Jesus loved can be seen clearly in His relationship with His disciples, and others. Lead like Jesus led. He mobilized, He modeled, He mentored, and He multiplied. Leave what Jesus left behind. Ultimately, a disciple leaves what Jesus left behind, which is people who live like He lived, love like He loved, and lead like He led. Our Core Values give heart to the vision of our church / ministry. The vision statement tells who we are and the core values reveal and reflect the values of Jesus. The Great Commandment and The Great Commission reveal the purposes of the church / ministry.
WORSHIP: We exist to first and foremost worship God.
Worship is the central activity of the church / ministry. At Walking In the Living Word Ministry, we desire for worship of Jesus Christ to be the primary focus of the church / ministry. Other ministries of the church / ministry flow from worship of the church / ministry. We realize that worship comes before service. 'Worship the Lord your God and serve Him only.' (Matthew 14:10)
MINISTRY: We exist to extend God’s love willingly.
The second part of the Great Commandment is to '…love your neighbor as yourself.' The church exists to minister to all people. The Bible says that we are created for 'good works” that God does through us in building His Kingdom. When God made us, He wired us up for a particular task. Our natural talents given at our natural birth and our supernatural spiritual gifts given at our spiritual birth mean that God has a place for all believers. “And truly He gave some to be apostles, and some to be prophets, and some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.' (Ephesians 4:11-12)
EVANGELISM – We exist to communicate God’s message effectively.
The Great Commission begins with Jesus telling us to 'Go therefore and make disciples…' Evangelism is not an option for any church or any Christian. It is a command from God. It is more than our responsibility; it is our privilege. Acts 1:8 gives the New Testament Church an outline for outreach. We are committed to reaching our “Jerusalem” (Lincoln County) for Christ through visitation, home groups, weekly services and special events. We are also committed to reaching our world through short-term mission trips. Definition of evangelism: “To present the Gospel in the power of the Holy Spirit and leave the results to God.” Philemon 1:6 says, 'I pray that you may be active in the sharing of your faith, so that you may have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.'
DISCIPLESHIP – We exist to develop God’s people consistently.
The Great Commission states in Matthew 28:19-20, 'Therefore go and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy spirit, teaching them to observe all things, whatever I commanded you. And, behold, I am with you all the days until the end of the world. Amen.' With these verses as the guide, discipleship is the process of helping people become more like Christ in their thoughts, feelings, and actions. We desire to not only reach for Christ, but to teach them the truths revealed in His Word. Spiritual maturity is not just talking a good game of Christianity. Spiritual maturity is being like Jesus. God’s goal for us all along has been that we become like His Son. 'For God knew his people in advance and he chose them to become like His Son.' (Romans 8:29)
FELLOWSHIP – We exist to know God and His family.
Going, baptizing, and teaching as found in Matthew 28:19-20 of the Great Commission are the essential elements of the disciple making process. It symbolizes fellowship – the identification with one body of Christ.
(A) To Know God Personally:
God created you and I to have a personal relationship with Him. When we fill that need in our lives with anything, or anyone but God, we sin. The Bible tells us that the result of our sin is a spiritual and physical death. (Romans 6:23) Every member needs to experience a personal relationship with God which can only be found through a faith in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son. (John 3:16)
(B) To Know God Corporately:
'A church / ministry comes to know the will of God when the whole body understands what Christ – the Head – is telling them.' The Apostle Paul wrote, 'The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; though all its parts are many; they form one body. So, it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body…' (1 Cor. 12:12-13)
The Church / Ministry Giving……. Upward, Inward and Outward:
We are here to exalt God, to minister to and build up one another, and, as a result of that, we are to reach out to the world. In other words, the church / ministry is here for three main reasons: upward, inward, and outward.
(1) Giving Upward: We are here to worship God. The Bible teaches that we are put on this earth primarily to know and walk with the God who made us and to bring glory to His name.
(2) Giving Inward: We are here to equip God's people to do His work. Paul said his own goal was not merely to evangelize, but to 'present every man perfect in Christ Jesus' (Colossians 1:28).
(3) Giving Outward: We are here for the evangelization of the world. Jesus commanded us to 'Go; therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you' (Matthew 28:19-20). Clearly, it's our commission.
Walking In the Living Word Ministry should be and will be:
Christ lead / Christ followed
God first in all we do
Build the Kingdom and
Care for our neighbor and the nation
To Be Like Jesus By Reflecting His Values:
Live like Jesus lived. While many people today are turned off to the church, few are turned off to Jesus. Teaching and preaching through the life of Jesus is must in a new church. As John the Baptist suggested, 'I must decrease in order that He might increase. Love like Jesus loved. To love like Jesus loved can be seen clearly in His relationship with His disciples, His commitment to Mary and Martha, His devotion to His own mother, His grace demonstrated to the woman caught in the very act of adultery, His tears for Jerusalem, His friendship with 'sinners,' and His forgiveness to His executioners.
Lead like Jesus led. If one carefully follows the leadership of Jesus throughout the Gospels a pattern evolves. He mobilized, He modeled, He mentored, and He multiplied. Leave what Jesus left behind. Ultimately, a disciple leaves what Jesus left behind, which is people who live like He lived, love liked He loved, and lead like He led.
'Kingdom Knights – Warriors4Christ' Live Stream and Pod Cast
Whether you've been in church your whole life, or never stepped foot inside a church or ministry before, there is a place for you at Walking In the Living Word Ministries and the 'Kingdom Knights – Warriors4Christ'.
We believe that God is doing something monumental in the lives of people around the world and we want you to be a part of it. Come join us as we work to shake the nation and set the captives free!
'Kingdom Knights – Warriors4Christ' are God’s Knights, our mission is to walk beside each person as they strives to fulfill the potential God has given them. Knights are the soldiers of a king’s army, which is what we strive to be, soldiers in God’s (King Jesus) Army. We are here to serve our church and our community, while spreading the Gospel of Christ. To bring all types of people, into the Kingdom of Heaven and to plant seeds of faith in the hearts of men and women whenever and wherever we can.
The Kingdom Knights is a ministry geared around service. Just as a knight in the medieval times was a servant to the king, we are also servants to King Jesus. As knights in King Jesus army. We used Ephesians 6:10-18 as our scripture to prepare us each day for battle in this world. In order for us to fight our spiritual battles that we face daily. We don’t need the weapons of the world to gain victory. We only need what God has provided, the whole armor of God, Ephesians 6:10-18. We need to clothe ourselves in the seven pieces of God’s armor every day in order to “be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might so that we can stand against the deceptions of the devil. To dress for success spiritually, we need only to wear God’s spiritual armor. Our battles will come from places we least expected. That’s Satan at work. Remember, Christ-followers can be his tools to destroy other Christians and churches. That’s what Satan lives for. That’s why it’s vital to put on the whole armor of God every day.
We are to gird our waists by putting on the BELT of TRUTH. What does the belt of truth mean? There are a couple of meanings. The first and what must always be the starting point is that the truth we believe in is God’s truth. The 2nd point behind the belt of truth is that we must live truthful lives. The belt kept the person covered and dignified.
The breastplate of righteousness is essential for the Christian to avoid a deadly wound. Righteousness is being moral and just, being pure in heart. If we wear the breastplate of righteousness, it means our relationship with God is solid - it will be trusting and dependent, we will recognize that God is God, and we are not.
Paul tells us to put on our feet the sandals of the gospel of peace. Part of our being equipped for battle is having our feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. It is the gospel of peace which enables us to stand firm. We can stand secure knowing that we have peace. There are two qualities of peace we experience. The first is peace with God. The second aspect is experiencing the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Paul says that above all we are to have the shield of faith that can, 'quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.'
We are to take up the helmet of salvation. We are to protect our minds with the knowledge that God has saved us from our sins. Knowledge of our salvation, our helmet, requires meekness – understanding that we’re not perfect and that we do need Jesus' victory over our sins.
The Sword of the Spirit that we are to use is different from all the others in the fact that it is an offensive as well as a defensive weapon. The Sword of the Spirit, the Word of God, is what defends us from all attacks and it is what can wound the evil that attacks us. But we must remember that the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God, is also a ‘gospel of peace.’ The Sword of the Spirit is the only offensive weapon in the Armor of God with which we can strike against Satan. This weapon represents the Word of God, the Bible.
Paul adds the Power of Prayer to the Full Armor of God: 'And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people' (Ephesians 6:18). Every smart soldier knows they must keep the line of communication open to their Commander. God has orders for us, through his Word and the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Satan hates it when we pray. He knows prayer strengthens us and keeps us alert to his deception.
That is why Paul saves prayer for the last, he knows that through all of our battles and trials and temptations we need to be in communication with God. We need to come to God in prayer asking for His spiritual power and presence in our lives and the lives of our loved ones. We need to confess our pride, ego, self-centeredness and independence, thinking that we can do it on our own. We can’t help others by our own powers, it is God’s power that works through us. Before we march into the world we need to get on our knees.
Like a mighty army moves the church / ministries of God; brothers, we are treading where the saints have trod. We are not divided, all one body we, one in hope and doctrine, one in charity. We are knights in the Army of Jesus Christ. We are doing battle daily with The ENEMY?
Well, there’s a 3-fold assault going on against us. The WORLD, the FLESH, and the DEVIL are attacking us daily trying to discourage us and defeat us. We have our own FLESH wanting our old life back. We have the WORLD trying to drag us back. And we have the DEVIL making sure it all goes according to plan!
Put on the Full Armor of God so you will BE STRONG… BE COVERED… BE AWARE…of all that is going on around you.
Our music is a blended worship time. We will be using Praise and Worship, Contemporary, Hymns, Southern Gospel, and Blue Grass Gospel.

Service times (everything starts officially July 9th, 2023)
Sunday mornings
Thursday nights 7PM
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, error free, only infallible, authoritative Word of God. We believe there is one God eternally existent in three persons, the Holy Trinity: The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His crucifixion and our atonement through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, and in His personal return in power and glory. We believe salvation is by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ. We believe in the resurrection of the saved to eternal life, and the everlasting punishment of those who have rejected God's forgiveness in His Son. Marriage is the legal union between one man and one woman as husband and wife, and the word “spouse” refers only to a person of the opposite sex who is a husband or a wife. (Genesis 1:27-28) So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. We strive to contribute and achieve greater unity in all we do within the Body of Christ.
The system design for Walking In the Living Word Ministry is a combination of the Program and Purpose based church / ministry models. The way we will accomplish our vision and mission statements will be through teaching: small group ministries, Sunday School, children’s – youth – college ministries – men’s and women’s ministries, worship and music ministries, fellowship and social ministries; equipping: discipleship; and mobilizing: evangelism, outreach, mission – service ministries and planting new churches / ministries.
Walking In the Living Word Ministry has a vision to see lives changed and a place where people can feel the love of God without feeling like they have to fit into a certain format. Our vision is to teach, equip and mobilize our congregation through the word of God to reach the lost in our community and around the world.
TEACHING – EQUIPPING – MOBILIZING individuals to do God’s work and to have a closer relationship with Jesus.
Methods that will be used to accomplish the Mission statement:
(1) Teaching: Will be accomplished by faithfully preaching and teaching the Word of God from the pulpit, and through our small group ministries, Sunday School, children’s – youth – college ministries – men’s and women’s ministries, worship and music ministries, fellowship and social ministries.
(2) Equipping: Will be accomplished through Scriptural Discipleship Programs.
(3) Mobilizing: We will accomplish this task by church visitation, outreach ministry, C.A.R.E., mission work, sending out those called into the ministry and planting new churches / ministries.
(4) Our ultimate goal is to exemplify our Lord Jesus Christ in our stewardship, fellowship, and discipleship.
Walking In the Living Word Ministry is a fellowship of believers redeemed for eternity by Jesus Christ. Equipped for life by the Word of God and empowered for ministry by the Holy Spirit. Our purpose for existence is to bring glory to God and enjoy our abundant life in Him. All our purposes must be undergirded by sincere heartfelt prayer. Before the early church did anything, they prayed together. As a result, their worship was more meaningful, fellowship more sincere, proclamation more powerful, and focus more concentrated. For Walking In the Living Word Ministry to be the church / ministry God has called us to be, we, Walking In the Living Word Ministry believe prayer must be the center of our fellowship. (Acts 4: 23-33)
(1) Prayer is a priority of the church / ministry.
(2) Prayer brings the church / ministry together.
(3) Prayer focuses on the person of Christ, not the problems of the people.
(4) Prayer is the vehicle that empowers other ministries.
